TLC Linen Services has an immediate opening for a Utility Driver in our New Orleans market. This position directly supports our Route Representatives and places you on TLC’s front-line with our customers, handling deliveries of clean linen and pick-ups of soiled linen. As a Route Utility Driver, you will run routes when the Route Representative is absent.

Additional responsibilities for the Route Utility Driver include:

  • Customer visits to review inventories, storage areas and access par levels.
  • Consistently building rapport and adding value through your excellent service.
  • Monitoring and seeking feedback from customers on perceived levels of service.

Salary: Guaranteed 40 hours weekly.

Maintenance Mechanic / Electrician – New Orleans – Apply Now

TLC Linen Services is a commercial laundry widely recognized as the leading linen supplier in Southeast Louisiana, we have been in business since 1933 and provide linen service programs to restaurants, hotels, and medical facilities.

TLC has immediate opening for Maintenance Mechanic / Electrician to join our maintenance team, which is responsible for keeping our plant’s equipment operating at top efficiency.
 
The primary function of the Maintenance Mechanic / Electrician is to support Production Operations by maintaining and repairing all aspects of commercial laundry equipment. Such equipment includes washers, dryers, ironers, feeders, folders and material handling equipment. This role also supports plant infrastructure such as boilers, air compressors, hot and cold water systems, etc.
 
Skills and experience
 
Key job duties include maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and installing 240V, 3-phase power to equipment, PLCs, VFDs, A/C and D/C motor controls and combustion systems, steam, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical drive systems, including pumps, motor gearbox assemblies, conveyors, and other equipment.

  • Strong electrical knowledge and experience needed. Able to size circuits (wire, disconnects, conduit, etc.) and install for new installations.
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair complex motor control circuits.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Able to troubleshoot some older machinery when no schematics are available.
  • Able to troubleshoot and program frequency invertors.
  • Should have good mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Able to Stick and Mig weld.

Other qualifications:

  • Ability to handle physical requirements, including but not limited to, kneeling, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting of up to 80 lbs.
  • Able to complete part requisition forms and work-order paperwork to document work performed.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 4-years experience in the field of maintenance is required.

  • Focused on strictly adhering to safety procedures such as “lock-out, tag-out.”
  • Results-oriented.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Organized with strong time management skills.
  • Good communicators, able to work through problems with other team members or equipment vendors.
  • Reasonably computer literate.
  • Able to pass forklift certification.
  • Able to obtain 2nd Class Boiler’s License.
